In Awe Over Loose Change
Aug 29th, 2006 by Alex
Some independent film is excellent and some is crap. Seldom does an independently filmed documentary make your jaw drop. Loose Change does exactly that, examining the events of September 11th, 2001.
While not as interesting a concept as Super Size Me, this film is a bit more serious. There are a lot of questions posed by 9/11 that have gone unanswered. Whether you’re close to the events of 9/11 or whether you’ve let the matter fade into the background, this film will get you thinking. Don’t watch expecting to be handed all the answers. The film poses some possibilities and skirts around an accusatory tone by suggesting that we (the viewers) continue to ask questions and investigate the matter ourselves. Your jaw will probably drop at some of the allegations and evidence examined. You might get angry. You’ll wonder why you hadn’t noticed certain things before. Consider yourself warned.
The film itself is pretty well done, mostly cut together news footage, quotations, and rendered animations. The entire thing runs just under 90 minutes, all interlaced with a better-than-average soundtrack. You can watch Loose Change for free on Google Video. I certainly recommend it.
Amen brotha! I seen this earlier this year and got my eyes opened. It provoked me to study demolitions, construction, table of elements, physics, jet fuel and tons of other stuff of relation. The knowledge I gained was overwhelming and painful. While I liked this video since it contained a broad scope covering all apsects of 9/11 it was not my favorite. It was like you mentioned “news clippings” with more questions than answers. After watching hundreds of hours of footage from that day, I found it best to focus attention on this subject in 3 parts; the destruction of World Trade, the mystery at the Pentagon, and the plains themselves.
I recommend checking out the demolitions: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6708190071483512003&q=911+demolitions&hl=en
and another which covers multiple criteria:
