Post-Party Breakdown
Sep 3rd, 2007 by Alex
We throw a pretty mean party. Amidst beer pong and flip cup, four people got haircuts on the deck just before midnight. We’re so extreme. They didn’t look too bad this morning either. We ran out of brew around one and twenty of us ended up walking to another house (because the kegerator there was not out of brew). There was some serious mess to clean up this morning though. Most of it is done already; we’re vacuumed up and counter cleaned, just need to do some dishes. The recycling bin is so full I was thinking about crushing all of the cans to make more room, but for some reason unknown to me or anyone else my feet are killing me. I think a warm soak in the tub might alleviate the soreness, but I’d rather not push it by crushing some two hundred cans.
Post-party breakfast is somewhat of a tradition amongst my group of friends. At Fort Smallwood it was usually takeout from No. 1 Chinese. Pancakes are the norm at my place. Eggs and bacon at the Shore. I was all set to do eggs and sausage and then — while standing in the middle of the aisle at the wholesale club — I had an epiphany. I decided to be a little different. We greased the pans and made steak, egg and cheese sandwiches with green peppers. People who had left actually returned to partake in it. It took a long time to cook up all of the steak, but I was thoroughly pleased with them.
And the police didn’t come this time.
