This is My Weekend Off
Oct 6th, 2007 by Alex
I’ve been listening to Fair, a particularly beautiful and uplifting song by Remy Zero that found its way onto the Garden State soundtrack. I remember hearing Shattered just before the credits rolled on Suicide Kings and thinking the same thing. They made some amazing music together. In a way it’s a shame that the members have gone on their respective ways.
Life is a journey.
The last few weekends have been absolutely crazy. I was a groomsman in a spectacular New England wedding. I’ve been out to several clubs and partied like a rock star at each. I’ve been out mid-week to Greene Turtle and DuClaw with friends more than a few times. I’ve intensified my cardio at the gym at the expense of some of my heavy lifting, though still working the abs pretty hard. I rode every steel coaster at Six Flags at least once. I’ve seen several movies.
In a word, amazing.
In the next couple weeks there is a housewarming, a wedding and a move. As much as I like Federal Hill, the existence of a Thirsty Dog — erm, I mean Dog Pub — in Columbia is very cool and more accessible to me. I’m going to make a point to get over there soon. I’m sure there will be other things that will come up at the last minute, but that’s what I know about now.
This is my weekend off.
Great songs…
And don’t forget in a about a month, there is also the happy hour.
