Weekend Happenings

We loaded in for the Battle of the Bands on Thursday night but I neglected to bring my camera. I remembered it last night and took a few pictures which I was able to post after fighting with the computer for what seemed like an hour. Many of them are more tech-like, but there are a few of the Fools & Horses guys. As I’ve said before, we don’t put on typical high school events. We deal with professional gear and act like a professional crew most of the time. For the bands involved last night (with the exception of FAH), it’s probably the biggest and loudest stage they’ve been able to play on to date. We might go a bit overboard because we can, but it’s definitely more fun this way. Give those kids a chance to experience it big, even if only for a few songs.
I’m headed to a company holiday party this evening at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel. It’s a formal event and looking at the photo tour the venue looks pretty swanky. We’ve already been informed that valet parking is the only type of parking available. I’ve never had a valet take care of my car. I’m not too thrilled about handing my keys to a perfect stranger and hoping for the best, so it’ll be a first for me. My wardrobe is more or less picked out, but I need to head out and try to pickup a set of cuff links. I have a set but they don’t accent my tie.
