Another Quirky Smoking Bit
Dec 8th, 2007 by Alex
I remember in the mid-80’s when smoking was banned in shopping malls and when the smoking and non-smoking sections of a restaurant were divided by invisible lines. Just like people took issue with the fact that smoke could still travel from one section to the other (unless separated by a wall or some great distance), I wonder about places that only allow smoking after a certain hour. Like a bar that doesn’t allow smoking until after 11pm. I understand that secondhand smoke may dissipate by the next afternoon when families come in with their kids for lunch, but it isn’t like the place still don’t smell like cigarettes. I guess it’s more of a health issue for most people than a olfactory issue.
