I Am a Light Bulb Pimp

Last year I scored a bag of incandescent light bulbs when the ACW household replaced all of their bulbs with compact fluorescent ones. Those bulbs got gifted to another friend of mine, since his house — when purchased — was devoid of light bulbs for some reason.
I went to the bank this afternoon to deposit a check. When the transaction was nearly completed, the teller said “just a second” and walked away from the desk. The check had been issued by the same bank, so there shouldn’t have been any problem with it. Even though there was no cash involved, I was surprised; I’ve never seen a bank teller leave the drawer unattended. She returns and places a two-pack of GE Daylight Energy Smart compact fluorescent bulbs onto the counter.
Her: These are yours because you deposited at least $50 into your savings account today.
Me: You’re kidding, right?
Her: No, they’re yours. You should be happy about it.
Me: Okay…
Her: There will be prizes throughout the month when you deposit into your savings account. In addition, every time you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a few thousands dollars.
Me: Really? still skeptical
Her: Yes. Take your light bulbs and be happy about it.
Right.
I’m guessing that in the spirit of saving money, the prizes will be items that will aid us in this task. There’s nothing wrong with free CF bulbs, except that I don’t use a whole lot of medium sized bulbs in the house. There’s a lot of candelabra bases, torpedoes, and floods. There’s also a few circuits with dimmers and three-way bulbs, where CF won’t work.
I was going to deposit the money anyways. I’ll find somewhere to use them, happy about it.

She could have been a little nicer. “Take your bulbs and be happy with them”?? Jeez.
How about “Dude, take your free-ass bulbs and STFU.”
I’m still not convinced about the compact bulbs…the light still seems very harsh to me, when compared to the GE Reveal bulbs.
Hmmm… I don’t want to be the one to tell you this, but she hates you. Like a lot. These bulbs have been found to cause migraines. I’m sorry, man. My bank is cool if you need to switch.
