Rest in Peace, Neva

I received word that Neva — my first and last pet — died this morning. She hadn’t been under my care in over a year and so I don’t have any more details, except that she wasn’t all that old. I’m bummed that this is the only photo I could find of her, since it isn’t a good one.
A young budgie, she was curious, clever, and sneaky. She would warble in the mornings and chirp when I arrived home. I took more than a fair bit of enjoyment in watching her play with her rings, jump from perch to perch, or sneak a sip of water when she didn’t think anyone was looking.
Rest in peace, dear one.
