Another Season Comes to a Close

Six RNR shows were completely sold out this year. An extra was added due to popular demand. No tickets being sold in advance for the extra show, it only took a few hours for 600+ to be sold. Two months worth of stage and set preparations, mostly torn out in a twelve hours over three days. It a bit depressing that it takes so much effort to build something up and so little time to take it down.
Here’s a video taken from front of house (and yes, that’s a PM5D being used) during Devil Went Down to Georgia. Unlike some of the other guitar-synced numbers, the electric fiddles are completely live (plugged into wireless belt-packs). I’m especially fond of the Devil’s part and I’m sad to say that the video doesn’t do it justice, but it rocked the live audience.
As much as I love working this show, I’m glad it is over. It’s just an immense amount of time where everything has been put on hold. My taxes need to be done, as does laundry and other household tasks. My diet and sleep scheduled has been an absolute mess for the past couple weeks.
Only six more hours.
