Pizza Time Delivers
May 19th, 2008 by Alex
It was a dark and rainy night. It was Friday. I was hungry. That means pizza. I don’t usually care for Pizza Hut, but the Ultimate Grill pizza in the ad was looking pretty good. Then I saw that there were delivery charges**, so I nixed that. I’ve had good luck with Pizza Boli’s in the past, but then I remembered Pizza Time.
Pizza Time is definitely one of those small pizza and sub shops, so much so that they have no web site. I’d ordered from them once before and been pleased; their pizza crust is extra soft around the edges. They are reasonably priced and they deliver when they say they’re going to. I phoned my order in at 7:45 on a Friday night, which I’d guess is a pretty busy time for delivery. For one extra large ham and pineapple pizza the total came to $12.69 after tax. The delivery was promised in 35-45 minutes. The doorbell rang at 8:13.
I think I’ve found my new local favorite.
** As of 09/2008 they charge a small delivery fee.

Those were the days when Dominos had a 30-minute GUARANTEE. Now the it’s a 30-minute minimum.
yellowjkt: Back in those days we’d order pizzas from the pool, normally because the pizza delivery guy couldn’t find it most of the time before the time was up. Despite all the free pizza there, we ordered most often from a local place. Located in an industrial park behind the bowling lanes, they consistently delivered pizzas to your door in 15-20 minutes for about 16-18 years until they closed. There was no guarantee, but they did it anyways. Their pizza tasted better than Dominos too.
