Clubbing at the HOA

I haven’t been driving as much these days which is better for my wallet. I noodled with the idea of taking the bus to work, so I did some quick calculations. It’s sad, but I determined that it is more cost effective for me to drive to work than to take mass transportation.
Bummer.
In other news, my HOA has decided to throw an adult party next weekend.
Don’t have time to go to the club? Well… [we're] bringing the club to you! The [...] Community Center will be transformed into one of the hottest clubs in the city! There will be music, food, drinks and much more!
Right.
While I understand that it might be hard to get out to the city and be a responsible parent while you’re out partying into the wee hours at Fur or One, I’m skeptical of the hotness of a party being hosted at the same venue where I voted in the last Presidential election.
Someone should call in a noise complaint.
Okay, first of all — the terms “HOA” and “hot” never ever go together. That sounds like the lamest event EVER.
Sorry, but something about that just feels so incredibly wrong.
