Hulu.com is Nifty

Why pay $1 for Red Box when you can stream movies for free on Hulu? Sure it isn’t as good a selection at Blockbuster or Red Box and the quality isn’t the same as a DVD, but you can’t beat the price. The best part is that it’s legit. NBC Universal and News Corp. teamed up last year to create the site and distribute the contents. The site doesn’t appear to require an account to view most things, but you might if you want to embed movies on your own pages.
Thanks for sharing this! It even has fairly recent episodes of TV shows, which I love.
Ok, seriously, Hulu is NOT all it’s cracked up to be. I am a hardcore BSG fan, and OF COURSE, NBC cancelled it’s deal with iTunes. You can’t get BSG on itunes anymore. At all. So, they offer it through the website. RIIIGHT. SciFi.com only offers three episodes from this season, and they’re NOT IN ORDER. So, I google where I can get full episodes, and Hulu pops up. They only offer the same episodes that SciFi does.
I know this is not Hulu’s fault, but STILL. I don’t have cable and I’m not willing to get frakking cable for ONE DAMN SHOW.
Rachel: Not a problem. For such a big site I’m wondering why I hadn’t heard of it before. Not even a mention.
NPR Junky: Netflix aside because it costs money, I’m some somebody has them on DVD that you could borrow. In the meantime, watch Doogie. You’ll quickly forget about everything else.
NPR Junky, I hate to admit I know the dealy here, but all of BSG episodes are aired on Hulu, they just don’t last forever. Each episode lasts for about a month before being deleted. Consequently, a backlog of the 3 to 4 of the most recent episodes are available at any given time. Hulu just isn’t necessarily an endless video library. You have to keep up with what is available and what is about to expire. I just wish they were a little more forthcoming about how long the video would last and publish the expiration date for each video from day one. Every month or so that I go to Hulu I see that half of my query has expired.
