Did you think I wouldn’t notice that you jacked up my rate an extra $13.60 from this month to last? What is so special about July that my Internet access is worth 34% more than June? I’m guessing nothing, except perhaps to line the coffers. No wait, Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) is in a slump… so that couldn’t be it.
You try to call the billing department to figure out what’s going on and you find out after numerous menus and voice prompts that the office is closed. Thanks for nothing.
An assortment of folks on the telco forums suggest that you sent out a letter announcing this increased rate months ago. I’m still waiting. They also suggest that if you bundle services that rates are cheaper. It’s a shame that it doesn’t ever include cellular plans. Now that would be something.
Comcast was fast enough. I’m so tempted to go back, just on generate principle.
