Coming to a Town Near You
Oct 25th, 2008 by Alex
This is where I’ve been this past month.
Lots of really neat experiences, meeting new people, seeing new and beautiful places. But I feel like I’ve been on tour this past month.
10/3 - Rochester, New York
10/10 - Upper Darby, Pennsylvania
10/11 - Hellertown, Pennsylvania
10/12 - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
10/18 - King George, Virginia
10/25 - Wilmington, Delaware
My job doesn’t require me to travel much at all, so this is not normal for me. I can’t imagine working in an industry where 50-90% of the time is spent traveling. I know plenty of people who have jobs like that and in a few cases I’ve seen firsthand the toll it takes. I don’t think I could do it.
The farthest I’m going in November is the Verizon Center, or maybe the Silverado show in Frederick. I enjoy road trips, scenic views while driving up through the mountains, but it’s good to be home for a decent stretch.
Upper Darby is a pretty cool little town. That does seem like a lot a trips through the Delaware turnpike. I hope you have an EZ Pass.
yellojkt: Some of the trips were on 95, others were up 15. But yes, I do enjoy the luxury of an EZ Pass. If for no other reason it means I don’t have to roll the window down when it is cold, because most people on the past few trips have opted to come to a complete stop and waiting for the “PAID” sign to light up before continuing on. When will people understand that they can just go?!?
