Meta News that Doesn’t Stand on Its Own
Feb 11th, 2009 by Alex
I’ve been absurdly busy the last week or so and I’ve had no time or energy to write much of anything, but there are a few things to be mentioned.
Technical work for Rock ‘N Roll Revival XX is in full swing and we’re making good time. I’ve become something of a photographic madman, taking pictures of nearly everything trying to document the process. There have been some new challenges while building the set and in dealing with the bureaucracy of the county school board. The tower scaffolding will be going up on Friday.
It seems that the RSS feed for the White House blog isn’t completely full text, but it’s definitely better than it was originally. Perhaps my request was heard, among others (I’d hope).
Tamra was the winner of the impromptu contest surrounding the building in Brooklyn Park. There’s a gift card to Costco in the mail headed her way as soon as I can put it in an envelope and get to a mailbox. Though randomly selected, she also noted that it’s a little short to be a tower. Three stories is a tower? That was what I was thinking when I saw it.
It’s gorgeous outside, still hovering around 70° near dusk. I wish it would last. There’s some groovy New Yorkers coming into town this coming week that I’m hoping to meet up with, though its a shame that it will drop back down into the 30’s for their arrival; being from upstate I don’t think it’ll be much of a change for them, just not much of a vacation either.
I was wahoooing when I read this! Great contest. I really had to think about it. Thank you for the card. I already know what I’m buying. CAKE. For the future pilot! Thank you thank you thank you. Oh and try and get some relaxing in this weekend.
