Two Invites in As Many Days

In the past two days I’ve gotten invited to two little parties…
By email, it seems there’s a get-together being organized at Little Havana on August 15th. And by organized I mean being sent out as a mass Evite, with rumors of a Facebook group as well. I’m a “maybe” at present. No more on that one at the moment, except that it ought to be interesting.
By postal mail, I’ve been selected for a week’s worth of jury duty in our state’s capital. By chance, it’s the week leading up to the former. I’m a definite on that, for the obvious reasons. After $5 to park at Navy Stadium, that’s $10 per day for lunch which is more than I usually spend on lunch. I’m actually looking forward to it, weirdo that I am.
I’m with you! I totally enjoyed my stint on jury duty soooo many years ago. Come on people isn’t it time for me to enjoy the great city again? Huh huh? I’m all about civic duty and free lunch (oh and the LONGISHNESS of it was great too). Enjoy pal!
