Observation #18 - Post Party Messes

I take comfort in seeing a big mess when I come downstairs in the morning, following a party. As clean and tidy as your guests may be normally, in the midst of a heated discussion or story people aren’t usually concerned if their empty glass ends up in the sink of if their paper plate ends up in the garbage can. If everyone is engaged, no one should be left thinking “oh, I need to go back into the kitchen and clean up.” The post-party mess says that my guests were having a good time.
