This is my blog.
I could put information about myself or this site so readers like you would know where I’m coming from. I have mixed feelings about this. I could say more, but I won’t. There’s plenty to read here already. Use your brain and formulate your own opinion of where I’m coming from. You’ll probably enjoy it more than if I just summarized it for you.
That being said, there’s a bunch of ways that you can read what I write.
Manually
Either remember the URL or bookmark it, then remember to visit from time to time. This is old-school. I doubt that anyone would make my blog their home page, but that’s an option too.
Email Subscription
You don’t even need to visit my blog to read its content.
If you subscribe via email, you’ll get one message per day whenever I post something new. If I don’t post anything, you don’t get anything. The emails usually arrive around 7am and will include all of the previous day’s entries, in full text.
You can also subscribe to my Flickr uploads in a similar fashion. The same is true for subscribing to the blog comments.
I like this option, since the emails are in your Inbox and you can read them when you want, even when you don’t have Internet access (like when you’re out traveling). They also can also be easily forwarded to friends, family, and coworkers. It’s also a good option for people who aren’t too into this whole “blog thing” but still like reading.
The email subscription service is provided by FeedBurner, a 3rd party provider. In the few years that I’ve been using FeedBurner (now owned by Google) to provide this service, I’ve received no email from them other than my content. Not a single one. That’s rare these days.
You can follow the blog on Twitter. Obviously the full text won’t fit, but each new post will be linked. Feel free to reply to @technmsg with any comments.
RSS Feeds
There are several RSS feeds available that can be added to your preferred feed reader or aggregator (like Google Reader or Bloglines).
- Content – Provides all blog posts. Simple.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TechnologyMsg - Comments – Includes all of the comments posted to the blog. Since my blog software doesn’t support comment notifications (and I don’t really want to add the functionality), this is probably the easiest way to see if your comment was replied to or if someone leaves a comment on an older post.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TechnologyMsgComments - Photos – I like taking photos and including some sort of image with most posts. This feed includes all the original photos that I post to the site, plus others that I’ve included in my Flickr photostream.

I believe in full text feeds. The content you’ll get from the feed is the same as if you visit my blog directly.
All feeds are provided by FeedBurner, both to reduce traffic to my web server and to provide some basic numbers on how many people are reading.
Hopefully that gives you a few options for keeping up. Thanks for stopping by!
