Sometimes your body knows what you need better than you do. If you’re sleep deprived, you’ll fall asleep in the strangest of places despite all physical (standing up) or aural surroundings (during a rock concert).
After only getting a handful of hours sleep early Sunday morning, I crashed pretty hard late Sunday afternoon after picking up [...]

Every once in a while I’ll stumble upon something that I want to know more about. It could be the most remote thing that has absolutely nothing to do with what I’m doing or what I’m usually interested in. Then I have to stop what I’m doing and figure it out. It is akin to [...]

A group of students from Severna Park High School are convening on Facebook (in an AACC group, oddly enough) with the purpose of “[making] some crucial changes in the directing staff” of this year’s Rock N’ Roll Revival XVIIII. Led by the kid who played the hydraullicly-enabled Billie Jean last year, the group claims that [...]

Amazon.com WidgetsFor the most part, trips to the bathroom are uneventful. That is, people go in and take care of their personal business and leave, hopefully washing their hands on the way out. Today was a bang up day for restroom weirdness at the office. I observed two uncommon behaviors while taking care [...]

I typically make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. I put peanut butter on one side and strawberry jelly on the other, throw it in a sandwich bag and head to work. I don’t like my sandwich to be refrigerated, so it usually sits on my desk until lunchtime.
Here’s the part that I don’t [...]

I’ve seen Shutterfly prints before, but I had no idea I could pickup my Shutterfly prints at Target.
Shutterfly charges $0.19 per 4×6. That’s pretty cheap considering the quality of the product, but their standard shipping and handling takes 7-10 business days. I couldn’t wait that long. Target charges $0.25 per 4×6 at their kiosk. Still [...]

I dropped someone off at Office Depot to pick up a few things yesterday. I had groceries in the car so I kept it running and backed into a space in the shade facing the front door so I could see when they came out. Bear in mind that I’m about 200 feet from the [...]

The further into the projects you go the more it occurs. The more gangsta the rap artists or athlete, the worse it seems to get. It heard it on the radio this morning; the DJ was interviewing a football player. It’s just as bad as high school girls saying “like” to describe everything or people [...]

Jackass: The Movie purportedly contained all of the skits, tricks, and stupidity that were too crude or obscene for television. So MTV decides to air the movie during prime time; a seven year old episode of Jackass and a “Where They Are Now” special were shown prior. Consider all that would have to be cut [...]

Someone rang the bell today a bit after noon. I peeked over the stairs and didn’t recognize the car — a green Mercury, probably a Sable — that was blocking my driveway. Due to the barrage of door-to-door people toting products and religeon, I generally don’t answer the door unless its a neighbor or an [...]

I was at a party today where I was told that I looked like Justin Timberlake. I think the girl needs to get her head checked out, although it isn’t the first time this has happened. When it happened before it was when I had shorter hair (like I do now).
The girl today asked if [...]

I don’t like putting stickers on my car. I don’t feel like I should be advertising my preferences on my windshield, if for no other reason than a police officer might not agree with my views when he’s considering whether to give a warning or write a ticket. My views might change, too… then I [...]

If you query “retarded wheelchair semi“, you find this jewel. A man was taken for 50mph ride when his wheelchair somehow got lodged in the front grille of a semi parked at a gas station. Neither the police nor the driver of the semi believed the initial reports from passing motorists that there was indeed [...]

Take a packet of Lipton’s French Onion dry soup mix and knead it into a pound of ground beef. Form the beef into patties and cook on a charcoal grill. Serve on a plain flour roll with ketchup and one or two pickles. We used to make these when I was a kid. Refreshingly different, [...]
