G&M is a great place for Crab Cakes. They are absolutely fabulous, though they are not your traditional MD crab cakes in my opinion. They also do a mean oyster's rockafeller. And who can argue with the Donut Shack. Best damn donuts in the world and entertaining in the wee hours of the morning to boot.

Don recommends G&M if you like Olive Grove -- they're owned by the same people (I believe they own Timbuktu down the street, too), so both have the infamous G&M crab cakes.

The Brave: I've had Pho before, just not at either of those places. No need to shake a finger, they've been added to my like of places to try out.

I'd have to shake a finger at you for not mentioning at least Pho #1 or Pho Dat Tan in Columbia, MD.

Unless you haven't ever had Pho before, and then I'd have to give you a double finger shake.

Try the Little Grove if you're in the mood for takeout. Their spinach pies (spanakopita) in their hot buffet are just awesome. The generic vegetables get tiring and the food is never exciting, but it somehow still manages to all taste quite good. My family used to eat at Golden Gate all the time. I got horribly ill off of a shrimp dish a few years ago. The same thing happened at a few other Chinese takeout places - just Chinese, no other place. Now I just avoid the shrimp at most Chinese takeouts. I'll have to venture back for the lo mein.
